Teacher’s comment on work sample:
Summary: Finding the Verb
Verbs are ‘action’ and ‘being’ words. They tell us
what is happening in the sentence.
All complete sentences contain a verb.
Verbs can be made up of one word or more than one
word.
Verbs such as ‘would’, ‘could’, ‘might’ and ‘may’ are
useful for giving opinions.
Verbs such as ‘will’, ‘shall’, ‘can’ and forms of the
verb ‘to be’ are useful for stating facts.
For example:
They will be on time. We can go. I am hungry.
