Teacher’s comment on work sample:

Summary: Finding the Verb

 Verbs are ‘action’ and ‘being’ words. They tell us
what is happening in the sentence.

 All complete sentences contain a verb.

 Verbs can be made up of one word or more than one
word.

 Verbs such as ‘would’, ‘could’, ‘might’ and ‘may’ are
useful for giving opinions.

 Verbs such as ‘will’, ‘shall’, ‘can’ and forms of the
verb ‘to be’ are useful for stating facts.

For example:
They will be on time. We can go. I am hungry.
