Target 1: Nouns
Language is made up of different types of words and these are the building
bricks of a sentence.
The first sentence building brick we will look at is the NOUN.
NOUNS: Common and Proper nouns
Nouns are NAMES. It can be a person, an animal, an object, a town - everyone and
everything has a name. Nouns can also be names of things we can’t see, such as
emotions (e.g. strength, anger or fear). So you can see that nouns are a very large
group of words.
There are two types of nouns: proper nouns and common nouns.
Proper Nouns
These are the special names given to specific people or things. For example:

Common Nouns
These are general names given to people, places or things. Common nouns do not
begin with a capital letter. Below are some examples of common nouns.
