How will I know I’m making progress?
Each target will have three tasks.
Task 1 and Task 2 in each target give you the opportunity to
practice what you have learned. These tasks give you the first
two pieces of evidence of your success.
Task 3 – find your own evidence!
For your third piece of evidence you will
usually need to show your teacher a
piece of your own work (this should be
independent writing, not copied from a
text) from any of your lessons or
homework that shows you have correctly
used the grammar taught in that target.
This is really useful evidence because it
shows that you are using what you have
learned.
Evidence of your success will be recorded on your record sheet. Your
teacher will sign and date the task boxes to show you have been
successful in that task. See the example below:-

The points awarded for each task are shown on the record sheet.
Usually Tasks 1 and Task 2 have 1 point each and Task 3 has two
points, but some more challenging targets have a bonus point.
You will be able to gain up to 50 points for the pieces of evidence.
